Medical Diagnostics Center of Jacksonville brings to you a new concept in MRI. The open access LPT (Low-Field Permanent Technology) MRI system from Toshiba features a unique "open air" design that makes MRI available to many patients excluded by conventional MRI systems.
Because all four sides of the scanner are open, patients are imaged more comfortably and without the degree of noise generated by conventional systems. The open design also represents a significant breakthrough for all patients, especially difficult to image patients who cannot be examined on conventional systems, such as the claustrophobic, acutely ill patients who need to be close to life-support systems, trauma patients, the elderly, the obese and children.
With the ACCESS LPT, radiologists can see important details with high resolution. Images as thin as 2.2mm can be scanned in as little as nine minutes.
