| It's very rewarding to do your own search for medical information and,
most of the time, the Internet can provide you with a rich resource of health and medical
information. The main risk is that you will get misinformation provided by sites that are
trying to sell you something. Beware of these sites. Tips:
- Use our "Condition or Disease Specific Links" section to see if you can find
what you are looking for. The Yahoo search engine has already seperated most of the good
from the bad for you.
- If you do not find what you are looking for, click on the medical search
button.
- Use the Infoseek Ultrasmart box to type in a specific question, phrase,
or name. The most common mistake made in looking for medical information is to misspell
the condition you are looking for. If you come up with nothing during your search, try to
go back and make sure you have the spelling correct.
Good Luck!
Consider submitting your
question to the Ask-A-Doc section if it is of general eduactional
interest.
